I Love France, BUT ...

I cannot believe what I just read. I know firsthand that France is a very liberal country, but I guess I'm just so out of touch. An article in French Yahoo! explains which types of couples (based on socioeconomics) should get married because it is financially beneficial, and which types of couples should just live together (they actually unashamedly call it "concubinage"--can you believe it?!). The article begins by saying that if any couples want to get married, they should think it over for tax reasons.

Huh?? When did marriage become a financial business deal? I'm just so agitated right now.

Perspective please, people. Am I just making a big deal out of nothing?

And another quick question. I've been using my sister-in-law's computer the past couple of days, and I notice that the photos are coming out darker on her computer. The funky photo of Ashley in the previous post, is the background white on yours? It's white on my computer, but blue on her computer. So I was just wondering how it shows up on your computer. I'd appreciate the feedback. Thanks :)

Hey. France is weird in that way. That is why I would never live there but I prefer to dream of my own little romantic notions in my mind.

As far as the picture....the before pic is blue, the after pic is white. Does that help?

Yes, that helps. Thanks!

You aren't the only one. I think that's absurd! BTW, Larry helped me with my myspace the other night. If you haven't checked it out, please do and let me know what you think.

It's amazing! Although if I'm not mistaken France's new prime minister is supposed to be more conservative.
So maybe that's a good thing.

I am not clued in on the france situation.. I personally would be $500+ a fortnight better off if I left my husband..and did what I did now. He could still live in the same house as me.. i just have to officially leave him. Mmmmmmm
ridiculous!? yes. Same sex couples living together get a better tax deal here than traditional married couples. They also get better welfare deals and better pensions.
Is it fair no? but if you decide to marry or not marry based on tax. Maybe they arent the right person?

Feb Year In Review Layouts

Just a quick post tonight. It dawned on me a few days ago that I'm already behind in my "Year . In . Review" layouts, so I put February's together. Believe it or not, for such a simple concept, these layouts took about three hours combined. I couldn't believe it! Anyway, these photos depict the highlights of February. Maybe tomorrow I'll do March :) (I wonder how many hours that will take?!) Just in case you're wondering, Carlos is still sick--no fever, just a sore throat now. Hopefully he'll go back to school on Tuesday ('cause I need some "me" time before I turn into a monster, lol!). 'Cause as you all know, life is all about me, right ;) Happy Monday, y'all!
Wow! I am so bugged that I never post anymore. Facebook is just so much easier. I'll just keep it simple-- random data: today I had Pho (Vietnamese soup) for the first time and LOVED it!! Seriously, you haven't lived till you've tried it :) I created two and a half sketches of future layouts, and halfway finished two more layouts. really on a paper-scrapping frenzy! This is one sketch: I joined the Facebook group "I grew up in Fairfield, IL, and thought I would die of boredom (but I didn't)" :D ... you have to have grown up in a dinky town to "get it" had a "day off from life" hanging out at my in-laws house all day ... ahhh! gotta love days like that I can't believe it's almost June already
